Welcome to the Old Nortonian Society’s Website.
We promote, maintain, and encourage the growth and development of interests in local and family history of the Village and Parish of Norton in the Moors in North Staffordshire. It is also our goal to preserve Records and Photographs of the Village and Parish (including transcriptions and publications).
Both Historical data and present day information is collected and presented in our "Annual Record" which has been published each year since our inception in 1923.
Collaboration with other interested bodies in connection with Local History is also encouraged.

Our present project is to scan our large collection of Local Photographs and enrich them by accompanying them with explanatory text giving the location, year and other details where known. Some of the Photographs can be found by clicking on the Photo Gallery” Tab at the top of this page. NB a Registration process is in place before you can view. We reserve the right to refuse access to our collection at any time.
The Society is always grateful for the donation of any information, Photos (or copies) which can enrich the Societies records.
We also ask if anyone may have information about specific places / individuals associated with the Parish of Norton in the Moors. Click here to go to the requests page.
The “Members Only” area is password protected and requires separate registration and approval before you access these pages. Members need to email the Webmaster with their email address and a password before access can be approved.
